Abstract

The vegetation dynamics and spoil characteristics of an age series of flyash dykes of Chachai (M.P.) were studied. Number of species increased steadily as a function of the age of the dyke having three species in the 6 months old dyke and 33 species in 60 months old one. It was seen that with the progress of weathering, the spoil characteristics were improved gradually in respect of organic matter and nutrient facilitating the recruitment of new species.
