Fuel-Wood Famine: The Impending Crisis

Abstract

With the depleting forest and tree cover, fuel-wood, a major source of domestic energy for rural India, is becoming increasingly scarce. The article reflects light on the present status of fuel wood famine, it’s consequences and briefly discusses the probable measures that must be taken to curtail this impeding crisis.
