Abstract

Statistical analysis of growth data pertaining to Tectona grandis from different forest divisions in South India covering Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka has been made. In an earlier article it has been reported that there exist significant differences among and within forest divisions. The analysis of variance in this part indicated not only significant differences in between batch components, but also within batch components. This shows the presence of additive variance component which can be exploited through stringent selection.
