Abstract

Incorporation of aqueous extract, a residue left thereafter and fresh powder of Van-tulsi plant (Hyptis suaviolens) to soil in laboratory and nursery experiments inhibit per cent germination of teak, height of teak seedlings. To a great extent incorporation of Van-tulsi exhibits weedicidal effect on some species of grasses.
