Breeding and Resting Site of Mosquitoes in the Forested Areas of Doon Valley

Abstract

Present study reveals the occurrence of 2 anopheline species, viz. Anopheles culicifacies and An. Fluviatilis in association with Culex tritaeniorhynchus and Aedes aegypti from tree hole breeding and resting of adults in four villages in forested areas of Sahaspur Block, Doon Valley. This is the first report of the resting and breeding of Malaria vectors in tree holes in Doon Valley.
