Enhancing the Efficiency of Auxins for Promotion of Rooting in Stem Cuttings of Populus robusta

Abstract

Studies made on the effect of IAA and IBA on rooting stem cuttings of Populus robusta in relation to ethrel and chilling treatments indicate that IAA, IBA, ethrel and chilling enhance root formation. Ethrel and chilling treatments enhance effectiveness of IAA and IBA in promoting root formation and root growth on stem cuttings of this species.
