The experiment was laid to study the influence of different seed treatments on the germination of Thuja compacta from 1990-92. The germination was significantly higher in hot water treatment for 24 hours. The seedlings obtained from the seed soaked in 50 ppm GA-3 for 24 hours gave seed cones after 18 months. The results regarding days required for initiation of germination, number of leaves and collar diameter were non-significant.
