Abstract

This study was conducted at the Indian Lac Research Institute, Namkum, Ranchi during 1988 and 1989 years. Results, pooled over seasons, indicated that date of sowing influenced growth parameters of Bhalia and it were significantly affected in first phase of 60-90 days after sowing (DAS) than at advanced stage of seedlings growth (90-105 DAS) under both size of polythene bags used. In particular, medium size (25x15 cm) of polythene bags were preferred.
