Abstract
Nymphs and adults of the babul whitefly Acaudaleyrodes rachipora (Singh) were observed infesting the leaves of a variety of important arid and semi-arid forest trees species. Maximum infestation was noticed on Prosopis julifflora (778.32 nymphs/leaf) and Acacia Senegal (540.60 nymphs/leaf). Although infestation was noticed on other tree species like A. nilotica, Albizia lebbeck, Dalbergia sissoo, Leucaena leucocephala, and Prosopis cineraria, the intensity of attack was low.
