Notes on the extended distribution of Alpinia nigra (Zingiberaceae) from Similipal Biosphere Reserve, Odisha

Abstract

Alpinia nigra, an important medicinal plant is reported for the first time from Similipal Biosphere Reserve of Odisha as the extended distributional record for Eastern Ghats of India. The detailed taxonomic description, ecology, distribution, field and micro-morphological photographs  are provided for easy identification of the taxon.
