Abstract
Studies on the undergrowth vegetation of Eucalyptus camaldulensis, Acacia auriculiformis, Cassia siamea and Xylia dolabriformis plantations by count quadrat methods showed the presence of 38 species. Eupatorium odoratum and Glycosmis pentaphylla were the most common species followed by Adina cordifolia and Shorea robusta coppices. Undergrowth vegetation of six and eight years old Eucalyptus camaldulensis plantations produced maximum over-dry biomass (Kg/ha) in comparison to other plantations.
