Abstract

Investigations carried out on rooting branch cuttings of Rauwolfia serpentina showed that semi-hard wood cuttings and softwood leafy cuttings are easy-to-root. Treatment with indole butyric acid and 1-naphthyl acetic acid suppressed rooting. The results have been discussed in the context of use of rooted branch cuttings for raising clonal crops of this species.
