Abstract

Vegetation sequences and soil's physico-chemical conditions of forest land have been assessed during transitory periods from Jhooming to forest natural regeneration till it attained succession. From the results it is held that during 'Jhooming', soil's physico-chemical qualities are reduced to its skeleton but gradually revamped during forest regeneration. The findings from the present investigation have been concluded with possible suggestions.
