Cordia crenata Delile subsp. Crenata ­– A Taxon almost Extinct in Wild

Abstract

Cordia crenata Delile, which once grew wild in abundance in the Forests of Merwara (Rajasthan) and recently declared extinct (Parmar & Pandey, 1992), has been recorded under cultivation at Ajmer and a census of trees has been made. Besides ethnobotanical information, detailed description, phytogeographical distribution, figure and photographs have been provided for easy identification.
