Collemboles and mites of deciduous forest stand

Abstract

Collemboles and mites together constituted the major part, 90.4% of the soil arthro­pods. Collembola was represented by 8 species and Acarina by 26 species. The popula­tion density ranged from 170 m-2 to 136466 m-2. Soil moisture and soil temperature collectively regulated the population.
