Abstract

Hyphal and colony interactions between Ganoderma lucidum (Leyss) Karst and Polyporus sanguineus Klotzsch were studied. P. sanguineus inhibited the growth of G. lucidum when grown in paired culture. A dark vermilion coloured zone was demarcated at the point of contact of both the colonies.
