Abstract

Nine fungicides, viz., Bavistin, Benlate, Baycor, Bayleton, Blitox-50, Captan, Difolatan, Dithane M-45 and Dithane Z-78 were evaluated against three species of Fusarium namely, F. equiseti, F. oxysporum and F. semitectum under in vitro conditions by poisoned food technique. The systemic fungicides, Bavistin (150 ppm), Baycor (150 ppm) and Bayleton (200 ppm) gave more than 70 per cent inhibition of mycelia growth of fungi and were more effective as compared to non-systemic fungicides. Soil drenching with Bavistin (0.01%) is recommended for the control of wilt of Robinia caused by three Fusarium species.
