Abstract

Environment is an indispensable requirement for survival of all creatures of the world. God created the environment and bestowed the human beings enjoy the fruits of it and advised him to up keep it and also warned him to act as steward of environment. Since its inception man begun to exploit the environment in numerous ways, for his self-ends and multiply his artificial wealth even at the cost of the environment. The severe consequences of which we begun to reap in various forms like acids rains, high pollution, loss of ozone layer and alike catastrophes. It is a bare fact if the environment is inexistent, question of survival of any creature does not arise. Hence, the dire need of the hour is protecting the swiftly, the perishing environment. As we are aware finance is universal phenomenon; it is an Omni present and involves everywhere. To protect the polluting environment destruction of forests imminently arrested; moreover the degraded Forest must be reincarnated immediately. All these activities required finance. Financing these pertinent projects like afforestation is defined as “financing the environment”. All possible and viable ways and approaches of financing and also incentives that must be provided to the investors in financing the environment is talked over in this paper.
