Abstract

Feeding inhibition property of four plant extracts have been tested by feeding bioassay technique in laboratory against a major forest insect pest, Plecoptera reflexa. Though, all the extracts exhibited antifeedant response against the larvae but methanolic extract of seeds of Azadirachta indica A. Juss. (neem) and leaves of Ipomoea carnea, both at the concentration of 0.5% were very effective with 64.37 and 70.44 per cent leaf protection, respectively.
