Abstract

Study was taken up to identify plant and insect characters affecting yield of sticklac on Flemingia macrophylla by Kusmi lac insect during winter season. Out of three plant characters, number of inoculable shoots per plant affect the yield of sticklac significantly. Like-wise out of three insect characters, length of coverage per plant and density of settlement on shoots were significant characters affecting sticklac yield. In order to make this study more meaningful, it is suggested to identify some more yield affecting characters particularly environmental and biotic factors.
