Abstract

This paper records studies on growth of Phyllostachys reticulata under mid-hill conditions in Himachal Pradesh. The growth parameters such as diameter, height, number and length of internodes are positively correlated with age of the culms whereas the length and breadth of leaves is negatively correlated with the height of culms. Spring season is found to be the best for vegetative propagation with 85 per cent success.
