Abstract

Two fungi viz. Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus niger were isolated and identified from the larvae of Noorda blitealis a major pest of the saplings of Moringa oleifera. The larvae were highly susceptible to the fungus Aspergillus flavus that resulted in 70-80% mortality of the larvae whereas fungus A. niger proved to be highly resistant and non-pathogenic resulting in no mortality of the larvae.
