Abstract

Insect feeding deterrency of camphor oil (Cinnamomum camphora) against Calopepla leayana and Eupterote geminate, two defoliators of Gmelina arborea, is studied. Gas chromatographic analysis of the essential oil indicated the presence of a mixture of volatiles which can elicit behavioral modulations in insects.
