Allelopathic Studies on Agro-Forestry Species: Effect of Leaf Leachates on Seed Germination of Crop Plants

Abstract

A study was undertaken to find out the allelopathic effects of leaf leachates collected after 8 hrs. 16 hrs. and 24 hrs. of immersion on the seed germination of crop plants. Varying degrees of inhibitory and stimulatory effects on germination percentage were identified.
