Abstract
Effect of four levels of nitrogen (0, 40, 80 and 120 kg/ha.) and three levels of phosphorus (0, 30 and 60 kg/ha.) was studied on Ulmus villosa in the nursery. The growth and biomass attributes were recorded and the indices were worked out from the recorded data. The N and P fertilizer application contributed significantly to the morphological indices. The fertilizer response functions have also been developed. The maximum predicted out planting survival was worked out at a combination of 122.43 kg N plus 65.91 kg P2O5/ha. during 1991 and 111.45 kg N plus 60.77 kg P2O5/ha. during 1992.
