In a study on use of plant growth regulators (IBA, NAA, IAA, PHB & GA) on rooting in air-layers of Heritiera fomes Buch.-Ham. IBA alone and in combination with NAA promoted rooting. In contrast. IBA (5000 ppm) when treated in combination with 1AA (5000 ppm) and GA (50 ppm) inhibited root formation. A synergistic effect on rooting of air-layers was noted with 5000 ppm IBA and 1000 ppm NAA.
